ITEX in San Diego (http://www.itexinsandiego.com) presents Doug Sebastian, founder of "The Greatest Save" and the most connected man in Major League Baseball, at the monthly "Baseball and Networking" meeting that supports the "Kindervision The Greatest Save" charity fundraising event.

This monthly event, sponsored by Randy Jones of San Diego Padres fame, is dedicated to help raise awareness and funding for Major League Baseball’s recognized charity, Kindervision’s the Greatest Save. Doug Sebastian, founder of the national nonprofit, started the organization 23 years ago in southern California as a result of the abduction and murder of 7-year-old Leticia Hernandez.

Mr. Sebastian will be discussing what the Kindervision organization does and how MLB supports the program. Many times, alumni baseball players appear at the event and speak about how they support the organization as well as share anecdotes about their history and experience sin the MLB.

“Our focus is on shutting out predators. We do that through educational resources and programs that help protect children and teens from sexual exploitation, molestation, abduction and human trafficking,” Mr. Sebastian said.

All About the Greatest Save and Kindervision

Created in 2005, “The Greatest Save” name reflects KinderVision’s focus on older kids and teens as well as children and its ongoing partnership with Major League Baseball, Media, Law Enforcement and Educators nationwide.

A recognized charity of Major League Baseball and supported by law enforcement nationwide, The Greatest Save is a nonprofit 501c3 crime prevention program available in English and Spanish funded solely through individual and corporate contributions with the safety materials provided free to families whenever possible on site, on air, and on line.  Millions of children have benefited from KinderVision/The Greatest Save resources since its inception.

Aimed at preventing child and teen sexual exploitation and abduction, TGS resources are used by law enforcement, schools, churches, youth-serving organizations, and families throughout the country to protect kids of all ages by helping them instinctively recognize risk and respond appropriately.
